S&P, Dow futures weighed by Wal-Mart

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The S&P 500 and Dow index futures were lower on Thursday as weaker-than-expected results from Wal-Mart raised concerns about the state of consumers expectations ahead of data on jobs and inflation.

STUTTGART, Germany (Reuters) - German carmaker Daimler scrapped its dividend for the first time in 14 years after it swung to a worse-than-expected 2009 net loss, sending shares down to their lowest level in five months.
