Octomom’s House Slated for Foreclosure Auction

The foreclosure auction of “Octomom” Nadya Suleman’s La Habra, Calif., home was postponed today and rescheduled for April 30, 2012, at 9:00 a.m., at the Orange Civic Center in Chapman, Calif., according to RealtyTrac.

The two-story house on Madonna Lane is listed for sale at $425,000. Suleman’s father, Ed Doud, purchased the property in 2009 for $565,000, according to the Orange County Register. RealtyTrac shows the judgment amount, the estimated total amount owed to the foreclosing lender, is $477,288.
“Don't miss the opportunity to own this previously owned celebrity home!” wrote listing agent Rebecca Mercado, describing the short sale property at realtor.com. “Minor TLC needed to make this property your dream home.”

The home was first listed for sale in September 2011 at $535,000, according to the Register. A notice of default was filed on the property in December, with a default amount of $18,369, the total sum of missed mortgage payments.

Suleman and her octuplets have lived in the 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home for more than two years, according to the Associated Press. She previously had six children. All 14 kids live in the Madonna Lane home.
