Friday, March 12, 6:30 PM The Piedmont Rotary Council has joined forces with the UVA School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) on a 3-year water project in Wum, Cameroon, Africa.   To raise money for this project, the Piedmont Rotary Council and the UVA SEAS will hold a fundraiser on March 12, 2010. The event will begin at 6:30 pm and will feature stories of Africa, Wum music dancers,  live and silent auctions, and a dinner.  For more information or to register, click here. Clean water changes lives. Girls return to school. Women begin small businesses. Men are no longer too sick to work. Fields are watered and food supply becomes more reliable. Health returns and children grow up to be productive members of the community. The cycle of poverty is broken.  LIVES CHANGE!
